Neurological Physiotherapy

There are a large array of Neurological conditions including; Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Parkinson's Disease (PD), Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA or Stroke) and Spinal Conditions to name a few.

Neurological conditions often have a number of different physical presentations and symptoms which need to be addressed, as well as cognitive and emotional changes.

A detailed assessment is required to allow thorough and appropriate treatment planning. An initial assessment  involves; a chat about your experience so far, a physical examination and gaining an understanding of your goals and aspirations.

We will then work with you to create a treatment plan to unlock your potential. From there you will have a clear understanding of what to expect from the next treatment and we will try and give a realistic time frame and future plan. The treatments could take place in a range of environments depending on your goals.

This can effect functional positions and movements including sitting, reaching,  standing, walking, running, sporting activities etc to be working more optimally with less effort. This is great for fatigue management, musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, chronic pain and well-being.

Includes a physical assessment and treats the primary cause and gives advice on future management and prevention. One injury can have a snowball effect on the whole body, therefore we will also address the habitual and protective compensations used so we break recurrent or chronic problems.
This area also addresses chronic pain. This can be treated specifically or can be linked into the biomechanical, fatigue management and well-being services that we also offer. We use a variety of techniques.
